Integrated Human Resource Management
To provide integrated human resource management function, SourceOne is developing an intranet-based virtual human resources solution. SourceOneHR allows people at all levels of the organization to access information and services at any time of day through its self-service HR platform. Employees, managers, human resource personnel and service center representatives use a simple, browser-based interactive, graphical interface to initiate, approve and track administrative change requests such as merit increases, leaves of absence and department job changes.
Based on the user’s log-in data, the system tailors the available features to match the user’s needs. For example, employees can view and edit their own personal profiles, while managers have the ability to initiate personnel administration changes for the employees they supervise.
Once a change request is launched, managers and human resource representatives are notified via email that items are pending in their approval queue, and the progress of a request can be checked at any time. After a change request has been approved, records are updated in the company’s human resources system. This HR system can be a third party hosted or on premise enterprise or legacy application. Throughout all this activity, the system provides deep integration, a clear, accurate audit trail and robust reporting capabilities.
